Zoo Day

Now that I am feeling better I have been trying to do some sort of activity every day with the kids. Today we went to the zoo. For Father's day this year my mom got us a season pass to the zoo. It's so nice to be able to take the kids whenever and not have to pay for any of it. THANKS MOM! Our little zoo here is the perfect size. It's almost all shaded and nice and cool.
There is a petting zoo area that my kids love where they can feed and pet the goats. There is also chickens, a lama, some pigeons all in a little fenced in area. Gracie loved feeding the goats.
Our zoo also just got a male lion which we haven't had for quite awhile. When we go we just pack a sack lunch and walk through 3/4 of the zoo and then sit and have lunch and then finish seeing the rest of the animals. Isaac loves to go visit his penguin friends and talk about how he got to go in there with them. (To see pictures of that day go here.)
After the zoo we went to McDonalds (we went this morning so we didn't take our lunch to the zoo.) It was so fun to spend the day with my kids. Now Isaac is napping. (Hopefully he will still go to bed tonight.)
